Youth Protection Training NEW 2018 (YPT2)
NOTICE: By October 1, 2018, all new and currently registered leaders will be required to complete the updated training. The enhanced and updated content will allow leaders and councils to comply with all current legal requirements. While this may be inconvenient for some, it reflects the BSA’s commitment to the safety of all youth.

Youth Protection Training is REQUIRED for all Adult Leaders. This training needs to be re-taken every year. Venturing and Sea Scouting Leaders must take a specialized Youth Protection Training course called Venturing Youth Protection Training.

Classroom Training Version
Once facilitators have been tasked with delivering the adult Youth Protection training, they should contact their Council Scout Executive for access to the materials. Access to the materials should not be shared with anyone else.

The materials are packaged as a zipped file that contains facilitator’s guides and PowerPoint slide decks for each of the mandatory and recommended Youth Protection training modules, copies of the video files embedded in the PowerPoint slide decks, a copy of the end-of-course test for the current year, and a sample training attendance report. You’ll also find an optional Chief’s video (M4 Overview – Chief.mp4)

All other versions of Facilitator Led Training are superseded by the materials available through your Scout Executive.
